In Evergreen Indiana, Local Administrators have the ability to register workstations, maintain local library settings and collection data, manage staff and Patron accounts, merge local Patron accounts, and certain override functions.
Obtaining LocalAdmin Permissions #
The Local Administration profile group is added to staff working accounts who have attended the live “Local Administration in Evergreen Indiana” webinar. This is a two-hour webinar that is currently held once a month.
See the Evergreen Indiana calendar for the next scheduled webinar.
Once you have participated in the webinar, your supervisor or director need to request the addition of these permissions to your staff working account. This may be done via direct email or a HelpDesk ticket. We will confirm you attended the webinar and add the permissions to your account.
Keeping LocalAdmin permissions #
Staff who Hold LocalAdmin permissions must attend (or watch a recording) the annual refresher that is held each fall. Accounts will be noted and “renewed” for the following year. If you were unable to attend one of the live webinars, you have until January 31st of the following year to watch the recording. Once we are notified that you have completed it, we will update your account.
After January 31st #
If you are unable to watch the recording of the annual refresher by January 31st, your localadmin permissions will be changed to Circ1. This will allow you continued access to the web Client, but you will be unable to perform localadmin duties.
