A Patron may call in and ask you to cancel a Hold for them. While they can do this from the OPAC, this may not always be possible for the Patron.
To cancel holds from the Client, first retrieve the Patron account , and click on the Holds tab to view any open Hold (active or Suspended).
Any current holds will appear in the Open Hold Requests tab. To cancel one or more holds, check-mark each and right-click or select Actions, and then Cancel Hold.
From the pop-up, select the proper Cancel Reason and enter any appropriate notes. Click Cancel Hold. Or, click Exit to stop the cancellation.
Canceled holds may be reviewed on the Patron’s account under the Recent Canceled Holds tab.
Selecting the canceled Hold and clicking Detail View will reveal all information about the Hold, including the cancel cause and note.
