Updates from the Executive Committee
The Executive Committee voted electronically this week to approve some agenda items that were not voted on during the last meeting. These include approving a new “high demand” circulation modifier, changing the meeting date from the 2nd Tuesday to the 3rd Tuesday (bi-monthly), and approving the membership packet for Brook Iroquois Washington Public Library as a new member of Evergreen Indiana.
Admin Office Closed Next Week
The Evergreen Indiana Admin Office will be closed Tuesday, December 24 – Friday, December 27. General helpdesk tickets will be answered upon return on Monday, December 30. There will be no newsletter next week!
MessageBee Voice
Jeremy sent out a notice earlier this week letting everyone know that our new voice service with MessageBee has been enabled. View the email here for more information. In addition, first and last names should now be active in these notifications.
Refreshers
If you haven’t taken one or both of the annual refreshers for LocalAdmin and/or Cat1 profiles, please consider doing so! They are both available on the EI Learn website. Instructions are available in the course.
Low Stock of Transit Bags
Leigh Anne Johnson placed a request for libraries to send any spare bags to the Indiana State Library. Please do so if you are able!
Updates from the Patron Services Committee
This past Tuesday, the PSC approved additional language to the section in the Circulation Procedures Guide regarding non-book materials:
“At the discretion of the individual library, non-book materials may be loaned to PLAC card holders.”
Hatch Update
An update to the Hatch Browser Extension has been released. We assume it will be updated automatically by Chrome browsers to manual changes should not be needed. We appreciate the work by the Evergreen community to get this done!
