A barcode order will be placed on Monday, April 26. The barcodes range from $12 to $15 per thousand. There is also a $35 lot charge and shipping charges. Send me the following information if you wish to participate: Name of library; name, email and phone number of contact person at the library for proof; starting bar code number; and number ordered. Send me a copy of 10 current barcodes via mail or scan. Your library will be billed when the barcodes are shipped.
Street Date Reminder!
Please keep in mind that street date materials should not be available and circulating to the patrons until the date that those materials are released to the public in bookstores, on Amazon.com, etc. The catalog committee noticed again that some libraries are once again making street date materials available to the patrons before the date that the materials should go out. As a consortium, we have decided to wait until the street date given each book, DVD, book on CD, etc. before we allow these materials to circulate to our patrons. You may, of course, catalog and process the materials so that they are ready by the street dates, but they should say In Process until that date. And they should never circulate until their street date.
I am sure that many of you remember how we had to practically sign away our lives with the promise that the books would not be read or circulated before the street date before B&T was allowed to even release the Harry Potter books to us. This is the same principle. The publishers do not like it when libraries circulate materials before they can be purchased in bookstores, etc. Your packaging slips should tell you the street date of materials if you are getting them from B&T, Amazon.com, Midwest Tapes, etc.

Offline transactions more than 30 days old will be purged on a rolling basis.
Tech Support Ticket Reminder!
Please do not email Mike Peters or Bob Jackson directly with tech support questions. All assistance for tech support must go through the Help Desk ticket process. If for some reason you can’t access the help desk ticket procedure, you may email the information to: helpdesk@apple.evergreen.lib.in.us. If there is a need to submit an attachment, users should submit a ticket through the normal means and await the automated response with their access key and ticket number. You can then reply to that message with the attachments via email and we will receive them at the helpdesk. If you email the attachments directly to Mike or Bob they are separated from the help desk ticket.
Since there are 2 and sometimes 3 of us working on support its imperative that all information go to the helpdesk.
