Weekly Update—September 2, 2014
Last Call for the Central and Northwest Roundtables!
The first two regional roundtables are scheduled for next week:
Central Region – September 8, 10am-Noon, Westfield Washington Public Library
Northwest Region – September 10, 9:30am-11:30am, Monticello-Union Township Public Library
Participants will receive agendas, hospitality, and parking information later this week; get your registration in if you’d like to participate! We encourage you to submit requests for inclusion on the agendas or bring your ideas for other updates, changes, and improvements for on-the fly discussion. Frontline staff members are encouraged to participate and share their perspectives!
Space is limited, so please register if you would like to participate in any of the roundtables. Participants will receive recommendations for area restaurants if you wish to continue community building over a meal after the scheduled meeting!
Committee News
The Cataloging Committee will meet on September 4, 2014 at 10am at the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library. This meeting is open to all EI staff.
Member News
The eIDC OverDrive consortium welcomes new member Kirklin Public Library! Kirklin’s go-live is Thursday, September 4, 2014. Kirklin Public Library is the 83rd member of the consortium. Congrats and welcome!
Migration News
The North Madison County Public Library migration is scheduled for October 17-21, 2014. A modified cataloging freeze is anticipated during that weekend. Further information will be forthcoming as available.
