Weekly Update – October 15, 2013

Quote of the Week

“It makes me feel good when patrons from other libraries place holds on books in our library that do not circulate here. It is also a good feeling to be able to fulfill a patron’s request to read every book by an author.”— Terri Wargo, Director, West Lebanon-Pike Township Public Library

Dedupe Completed

Thanks everyone for your patience during the deduplication downtime! The dedupe affected 314,271 records and cleaned up the database substantially. We expect this process to improve the speed with which hold targets are identified and shipped for patrons and to ease staff workload in identifying and cataloging materials.
