2016 Regional Roundtables
We were in Seymour and Mooresville last week for the Southeast and Central Roundtables! Representatives from 25 libraries were in attendance. Our thanks to our generous hosts, Jackson County Public Library and Mooresville Public Library!
The final Regional Roundtable of 2016 will be held this Friday in Rockport!
Reviewing Staff Permissions
We have updated the Staff Permissions Guide following the correction to the LocalAdmin profile. During this update, we did note some additional permission assignments that are out of line with current policy. In order to allow everyone a chance to prepare their staff, we will present the full list of permissions to be updated to the Executive Committee at their December meeting with an active date of January 1, 2017. LocalAdmins and staff are encouraged to review the guide and provide feedback.
Policy and Setting Updates
- The “audiobook new” circ modifier is live and available for libraries to use.
- The default circulation duration for pre-cats without an associated circ mod has been increased to 3 weeks.
Maintenance Notices
During the Authority Control implementation, scheduled December 2-December 28, 2016, catalogers are reminded not to update existing bibliographic records. Please watch for updated timelines.
The next Evergreen software upgrade has been scheduled for December 31, 2016-January 1, 2017. All library access to the database will be suspended during that window.
Barcode Pool
The dates have been set for the next Barcode and Library Card pool. Please mark your calendars to get your purchase in November 14-18, 2016.
