April 2, 2025 Update
Hi, everyone!
It’s been a crazy couple of weeks for everyone, and we hope you’re doing okay! Here are some things going on and coming up in the consortium.
___
Annual Council Meeting on April 9
The Evergreen Indiana Library Consortium’s (EILC) annual council meeting is scheduled for 2pm (ET) on Wednesday, April 9. Each member library holds a seat on the council and their director or their designee votes on matters of bylaws and committee membership. This year, a vote will be cast on updated bylaws (original | proposed updates), and the slate of committee nominations. We will also present a 2024 review of the consortium, an update on the EILC Strategic Plan, and more. If your director or designee has not registered, please do so! We require 2/3 of the membership to be in attendance in order to vote.
It’s Committee Month!

Migration Update
We are two months away from Ohio County Public Library officially launching Evergreen Indiana! Testing and training will begin soon. Edinburgh Wright-Hageman Public Library has just started copy cataloging their collection directly into Evergreen. The first Cataloging Party has been scheduled for April 29 from 10am-4pm (ET). Any interested catalogers can RSVP via this form. You do not have to attend the entire six hours. Please let us know when you believe you will be able to attend. Original cataloging may occur! Space is semi-limited, so we request up to 10 catalogers join us. We do have four laptops available to those who cannot bring their own from their library and 3 extra barcode scanners. If you need a laptop, please request one via the form. It will be first come, first serve.
Brook Iroquois Washington Twp Public Library’s migration officially began yesterday (April 1). Jasonville Public Library is continuing to work on re-barcoding their collection. We are scheduling Delphi Public Library’s migration at this time, and are visiting with three more libraries this month to discuss the migration process and scheduling.
