December 8 Trainer Updates

Advanced Cataloging

I am very pleased to announce that tomorrow morning the Advanced Cataloging in Evergreen Indiana asynchronous course will be available to those pursuing Cat1 permissions for Evergreen Indiana. This course is intended to provide cataloging staff with the information needed to add and maintain bibliographic records in the Evergreen Indiana catalog. This is required training for those who already have Cat2 permissions and are wishing to be eligible for Cat1 permissions.

The course is worth 4 LEUs and the certificate will be provided once it is completed.

I do want to let you know I will be out of the office beginning Friday afternoon until the 20th, so if you have any issues with access, please contact Ruth and she may be able to assist you.

Annual Refreshers

Both the Local Administration and Cataloging refresher videos are available via the Evergreen Indiana Learn website. If you did not attend one of the live sessions, you will need to watch the recording via the Evergreen Learn website.

To obtain your LEU certificate, you will need to answer some “questions” that appear in the videos. I will be notified automatically when the certificate is released and will update your accounts accordingly.

We all know December can be a very busy time for libraries which is why the expire date for accounts is set to January 31st of 2024. Please remember If you have not taken one or both of the refreshers before that date (depending on your permissions), you will be unable to log in with that account on the 31st.

YouTube

The Local Administration and Cataloging refresher videos are available on the Evergreen Indiana YouTube Training channel for review. However, you must watch the refreshers via Evergreen Learn for it to count toward your LEU and permissions renewal. This is for tracking purposes.
