The time has come!
Evergreen Indiana Upgrade – November 18-20
We are upgrading to Evergreen 3.9.1. All servers will go down first thing Friday morning, November 18. This will impact not only the staff client, but also the OPAC and SIP connections. We anticipate a smooth upgrade with servers coming back online Sunday. After internal testing, an all clear will be sent out. If your library is using the Evergreen Offline Transaction module, you’ll be able to upload and process transactions as soon as the all-clear is given.
- Offline Circulation Module – Instructions on using the offline circulation module.
- Please remember to access the offline circulation module from the staff client TODAY to make sure that you have cached the pages in your browser(s).
- Managing Offline Circulations – Instructions for uploading and processing transactions from the offline transaction module. This should be done ASAP when the servers come back online and the all-clear is given.
- Hoopla
- Hoopla has been contacted to provide continuity of access for patrons during the upgrade period.
- Overdrive
- Overdrive has also been contacted. A handful of Evergreen Indiana libraries are configured in such a way that they will have temporary rule checking (TRC) enabled for continuity of access during the upgrade. All other EI member libraries see a disruption in Overdrive service during the upgrade. Their patrons, however, will still be able to access those items they have already checked out. The libraries that will have TRC enabled are:
- Batesville PL
- Rushville PL
- Henry Henly PL
- Carnegie PL of Steuben Co.
- Clayton Liberty Twp PL
- Fayette Co PL
- Porter Co PLS
- Washington Carnegie PL

2023 Membership Invoices
Evergreen Indiana 2023 membership invoices have been mailed to libraries. An email with a digital invoice will also be sent in December. Please note that these invoices are DUPLICATES. Only pay one. The first invoices are sent early for those libraries that have budgeted to pay their upcoming membership fee from 2022 monies. The second invoices are sent only as a reminder and in case the earlier invoices were lost waiting to pay out of 2023 budgets at other libraries.
