Weekly Update — January 21, 2015
Membership Fee Rollout
In 2014 an overwhelming majority of the Evergreen Indiana libraries approved a measure which allows us to become more self-supporting. Over the coming months you will begin receiving paperwork and notices so that you can plan and budget for this new program. As a reminder, the Executive Committee has chosen to use a graduated plan for implementation. The costs for 2016 will be at 50% of the official tier rate. 2017 will be at 75%, and 2018 will see full implementation of the approved rates.
2015/16 Rollout Timeline
- The Executive Committee will finalize and approve the 2016 annual fee rates at the February 10, 2015 committee meeting.
- Notices of expected individual library costs will be issued to libraries by April 1, 2015.
- Libraries should incorporate the costs into their 2016 budget plans.
- In December, each library will receive an invoice for the appropriate 2016 membership fee.
- Invoices must be paid by January 31, 2016.
