Weekly Update – November 26, 2013
Giving Thanks!
As we head into the Thanksgiving weekend, let’s celebrate all the ways we’re thankful for the opportunity to share our resources and skills. For five years, the libraries in Evergreen Indiana have worked together to learn, grow, partner, and expand our services both to the professional community and our patrons. We’ve built networks and relationships to support and educate. We’ve provided our patrons with tremendously enhanced access to library collections and consistently excellent service whether they are just visiting from another Evergreen Indiana library or are our local patrons. We continue to be a positive example for libraries working together around the world.
Thank you for being part of this outstanding project; you’ve brought so much to share at our table!
Happy Thanksgiving!
OPAC Enhancements Survey Reminder
As we head into the final round of governance meetings for 2013, we are collecting feedback from the membership to provide guidance to the Executive Committee on the third party OPAC enhancements that your library finds crucial to providing excellent service. We would appreciate feedback from staff members in all departments and service levels by December 4, 2013.
Assisting a Neighbor
The Brown County Public Library has requested assistance from the Evergreen Indiana consortium. They will be holding a county-wide reading program in January and February 2014, and would like to borrow your copy of Ashfall (2011) by Mike Mullin. If you would be willing to allow an extended loan of your copy for those two months, please let Anna know (agoben@library.in.gov) by December 9, 2013.
