The HelpDesk Page has a new look! Features include EI branding with a more streamlined look and the ability to attach documents or screen shots. Be sure to select “Evergreen Indiana” as the answer to the question “How would you categorize this request?” under “Request Details”. A text box for adding your library name will appear. This is now a required field.
De-duplication Project
The ISL is exploring a de-duplication process for the catalog. This would allow us to merge and clean up records in a cost-effective way. We anticipate sending an outline of this process to the EI Cataloging listserv next week.
Circulation News
The EI Circulation listserv received this notice on Wednesday, November 3, 2010.
Please note that there is a new kind of notice that could appear in the “Printable Overdue Notice Letters” for each library. The notice, “shortname-collection-date.pdf,” will appear along with the 45-day, damaged, and overdue notices. This “collection” notice alerts the patron their account could be sent to a collection agency. The notices are sorted by the name on the notice, first, and then the most recent notices at the top.
