Policy reminder

Remind patrons that the lending library’s policies are the policies that must be followed when borrowing materials.  The lending period is set by the lending library.  Patrons may leave your library with books that are due in 7 days, 14 days and 21 days.  Additionally, remind patrons of the consortium agreed upon fines and fees that will be assessed when items are late, lost, or damaged.  This includes the $0.25 per day per item overdue fine, up to $10 per item, as well as the $10 processing fees for lost or damaged items. Patron questions regarding the circulation policies should be addressed by a patron’s home library.  Patron questions regarding a specific bill may need to be forwarded to the billing library.

Upgraded look to overdue notice screen and web self-check screen

The interface for both the overdue notice screen and the web self-check screen have had makeovers.  Both now reflect the Evergreen Indiana branding.  These changes will be live within the next week, but no content or functionality will change.  See screenshots below to preview these changes.

To use the web self-check option:

If you have an old computer with Internet access lying around, you can submit a helpdesk ticket begin the process of configuring a self-check station.  This is an optional module.  Note that any patron who tries to do something their permission profile doesn’t allow (such as too many fines or overdues), will be instructed to visit the normal circulation desk.  If you set up the web self-check station, please have a receipt printer available at the self-check station as well.
