Weekly Update – August 6, 2013
EI Development Update: Round 2
We continue to address the development requests from member libraries. Here are some updates on when you can expect to see some of your requests fulfilled:
- Email option for checkout receipts: Available in Version 2.3; will go live for EI libraries in December 2013.
- Longer search boxes in the Advanced Search interface: Will be configured in 2.4; will go live for EI libraries in December 2013.
Patches Applied
A patch for 2.3 has been modified and applied to our current interface to allow patrons to log in using either their username or barcode. Previously, once a patron had set their username, they could not log in using their barcode. This also affects patrons logging into self-check stations.
A new patch has been created and applied to enable the catalog to search and show more of the main entry/content creator fields (1xx), i.e. band names now appear in music searches
