Upgrade news as announced at Evergreen Indiana Annual Meeting
Those of you who attended the Annual Meeting on May 9 are already aware that the next upgrade has been pushed back. For those who were not able to attend, we will upgrade to Evergreen 2.4 beginning on Friday, December 13 to Sunday, December 15. Upgrading to Evergreen 2.4 rather than 2.3 has many search, acquisitions and circulation benefits which will be highlighted in a New Features webinar planned for late fall before our upgrade window of Friday, December 13 to Sunday, December 15. The tentative plan for the upgrade in December is as follows:
• Get access to test version of Evergreen 2.4 in late summer
• Committees begin testing and note-taking in late summer to early fall
• New features webinar offered in late fall
• Upgrade to Evergreen 2.4 (December 13-December 15)
Mobile OPAC taskforce – Status update
The Mobile OPAC taskforce met on April 26 to discuss how to improve the mobile presence of Evergreen Indiana. Members of the committee are currently compiling a list of features that are required by the patron for a great mobile experience. Example: Being able to log into My Account and place a hold. This feedback is being solicited until May 31 and will be listed in the Weekly Update blog after the short list is compiled. We hope to have a test version of the mobile OPAC available to our taskforce members for testing at their libraries in late summer.
