March 2, 2026 Update
Reminder about the upcoming Aspen reindex
A scheduled Aspen reindex will occur on Saturday, March 7 & Sunday, March 8 to coincide with Delphi’s launch into the Evergreen Indiana Library Consortium the following Tuesday (March 10). It should begin at 2am (EST) that Saturday and may take up to 36 hours to complete.
Remember that this reindex severs the connection between Evergreen and Aspen, so item updates (among other things) between Evergreen and Aspen will not occur.
Upcoming webinars
Local Administration for Evergreen Indiana has been scheduled for the last Wednesday of each month in 2026 (except for November and December!). This is for those who do. Register here!
For those who’d like to dive past the basics in the new reporter, the New Reporter Advanced webinar on March 31 @ 2pm EST will cover the templates themselves: cloning and editing, creating from scratch, etc.
On March 3 @ 3pm EST, we’ll be looking at how to use the inventory function in Evergreen: best practices, report templates, etc.
Watch the Evergreen Indiana calendar for future webinars and events happening throughout the consortium! We list cataloging parties, scheduled Aspen reindexes, and other things we want to share!
Hold transit slip template update
Jeremy was able to remove the patron data from the default hold transit slip, but we’re not sure if that means it was removed from customized templates. Please make sure you remove the patron barcode from the Hold Transit Slip template. You can click here to view a screengrab of how to do it! If you have issues, please export your templates and attach them to a help desk ticket. These are workstation-level templates, so it will need to be updated at each workstation.
Missing Circulation Modifiers Project
After Courtney pulled together annual report statistics for libraries last month, we found that many libraries have items that are missing circulation modifiers. I’ve put together a spreadsheet separated by branches of those items. Some of you only have a couple of items; others have many. We did not filter out pre-cataloged or on order material.
If the item circulates, it should have a modifier applied. More info is available in the spreadsheet.
(Please see the emailed update for the link to the spreadsheet)
