Save the Dates!
The 3.15 New Features, Local Administration Refresher, and Cataloging Refresher webinars have been scheduled for November.Registration will open next month. Library staff that hold LocalAdmin and/or Cat1 permissions are required to take this refresher annually regardless of when you obtained them. Topics covered will include policy/procedure changes throughout the year, important updates from 3.15, and more. If you cannot make the live presentation, don’t worry! They will be available to watch via the Evergreen Indiana Learn website. More information will be available next month.
Patron Profiles Survey
The Patron Services Committee has been discussing updating the Patron Matrix, the list of profile groups that defines the type of access patrons receive at your library. They need your input and have created a survey to receive your thoughts on the matter. Please fill this out at your earliest convenience. Responses will be discussed at the next committee meeting on October 14th at 2pm via Zoom. All member library staff are welcome to attend.

Testing Group for December’s Upgrade
In the next couple of weeks, we will be requesting volunteers to join a “testing group” to aid us in testing the new version of Evergreen that we will be upgrading to over the weekend of December 6th. We will need testers for all areas of the web client: acquisitions, cataloging, circulation, serials, etc. More information will be provided along with the form.
No More Boxes, Please!
At this time, we request that member libraries do not send their extra EI transit boxes back to the state library. You may dispose of unusable boxes and let member libraries know if you have extras via the Evergreen Support listserv. We appreciate you!

It’s that time of year again for member libraries to confirm their preferred contacts for the Circulation and Cataloging directories! Please review the directories and let Britta know if any names need to be updated.

Remington Cataloging Party
The Remington Carpenter Township Public Library is cataloging their collection into Evergreen prior to their full migration into the EILC. The first party is scheduled for Thursday, October 30 from 10:00am – 4:00pm (ET). If you wish to attend, please RSVP via this form. You do not have to attend the entire six hours. Please let us know when you believe you will be able to attend. Original cataloging may occur!
Edinburgh Cataloging Party
Edinburgh is almost through cataloging their collection into our catalog! We have scheduled three more parties: October 16, November 20, and December 18. Each day will be from 10:00am – 4:00pm (ET). If you wish to attend, please RSVP via this form (this is separate from the Remington RSVP form). Thank you!
