Welcome New Member Library
On August 9, the Executive Committee voted to approve the application by Lowell Public Library to join Evergreen Indiana and become the 128th member system. Lowell Public Library is a 3 branch system in southern Lake County, Indiana. They have about 11,000 card holders and just shy of 89,000 holdings. The launch date for Lowell PL is scheduled for December 6, 2022. A modified cataloging freeze is scheduled to begin on December 2. More information will be shared as we prepare for migration and launch.
Executive Committee Date Change
The October Executive Committee date has been moved to Wednesday, October 5. The location will be announced as soon as it has been confirmed.
Mary Glaser Memorial Event
Please remember the memorial event to be held on Sunday, August 14 at Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library in Plainfield, Indiana from 1-4 p.m. Please refer to the Special Announcement for more information and pertinent links.
Regional User Group Meetings
Locations have been selected and dates have been set. Please join us to learn about new features in Evergreen Indiana 3.9 and meet up with Evergreen Indiana colleagues in your region. Bob Jackson Retirement

Library IQ Demos
The Library IQ Platform provides tools to see and understand your library’s data across key areas of operation. We have scheduled a demo with staff from Library IQ to present to those interested in learning more and potentially taking advantage of consortial pricing. The initial demo will be on August 31 at 10 a.m. CT/11 a.m. ET with topic specific demos occurring in the first part of September. Evergreen Indiana maintenance
Evergreen Indiana will be upgrading to version 3.9 this autumn. We are hoping to have multiple testing environments set up at different times to make sure everything is in working order before launching the new version in early November. If you are interested, please fill out this form.
You do not need to be a technological wizard to help with this. We specifically need help from individuals in their libraries regularly. We will be testing all aspects of the software which means anyone can participate.
Expanded Membership Fee Tier Working Group
The Executive Committee is considering expanding the membership fee structure to accommodate larger library systems. A working group is being established to meet, discuss, and make recommendations for this expanded membership fee structure. To participate in this working group, please sign up here through Friday, August 12. A survey will go out next week to determine the first meeting of the working group.
Database Renewals
Just a note that both Chilton and Gale Legal Forms have been renewed for another year. Reference USA is on a different schedule and will be evaluated in the new year.
