The MARC Federated Search enables you to import bibliographic records into a selection list or purchase order from a z39.50 source.
From the main Acquisitions menu, select MARC Federated Search. Z39.50 services and credentials will be pre-selected based on your saved default settings in the standalone Z39.50 importer.
Enter search criteria and click Submit.

A list of results will appear. Use View MARC to preview the records prior to adding it to a selection list or purchase order.
Adding Result to a Selection List #
Select the result you wish to add to a selection list from the grid. Click Add to Selection List.

Select an existing selection list from the drop down or create a new list. Edit Incoming MARC will open the record in the MARC Editor. Make sure you click Save Changes if any edits are made before clicking Done.

Click Continue to update (or create) the Selection list, and return to the results or go to the Selection List.

Click the Notes and Alerts link to add notes or line item alerts to the line item.

From here, you can add an On Order item (if it is not automatically created by settings in the Acquisitions module).

Select the result you wish to add to a selection list from the grid. Click Add to Purchase Order.

Select an existing purchase order from the drop down or create a new one by entering a name. The Ordering Agency should default to your workstation library. Select your provider from the drop down (or type in to search). Checkmark if prepayment is required. Click Continue.

A confirmation will appear. Return to your results or Go to Purchase Order.

Updating the Line Item #
Similar to above, you can update the line item once you are viewing the Purchase Order. Add a price, on order item, notes and alerts, etc.
