Permissions: Local Administration
Staff who hold local administration permissions have the ability to manage staff working accounts that hold certain permission profile groups. You should be able to update everything on the account.
Main permission profile types LocalAdmins can update #
- Circ1, 2, 3, and 4
- Cat2 and 3
- Serials Administrator
- Serials Manager
- NonAdminManagement (should always be a secondary group)
Main permission profile types LocalAdmins CANNOT update #
- Cat1
- LocalAdmin
- Acquisitions (any)
Accounts with one or more of these profile types assigned to them can only be managed by the EILC Admin team. Please submit a helpdesk ticket for any changes to be made.
Updating staff working accounts #
Like patron accounts, staff working accounts expire after a certain amount of time. If you cannot log in to the web client and you know your password is correct, it is likely the account has expired. The web client will not allow you to log in once the expiration date has occurred.
Log in using your localadmin account and access the expired staff working account. You can either type in the username in the Checkout field, or search using the Patron Search function.
